Extreme Light Bar

One of the standout projects involved designing and building custom light bars for an ATV and a pickup truck. The light bar delivers an impressive flood brightness at a good range. The beam is focused in such a manner that it will not illuminate the road directly infront of the vehicle, preventing the beam from blinding the driver. This makes it ideal for everything from late-night hauls to backcountry exploration. The video linked provides a good demonstration.

Train Inspection Portal

Countries like America or Australia are known for their very lengthy intermodal (freight) trains. These trains can be several kilometers in length with hundreds of wagons. In order to streamline the process of inspecting such trains, large portals are used with multipe cameras using detection algorithms to find any abnormalities. This will allow the trains to quickly pass by, saving many hours of intensive labour. To allow the cameras to image the train while it is moving at increasing speeds, very bright lights, pointing at every angle are required. XLED aquired the order to develop two sets of lights. The first set of lights illuminates the sides and top of the train, while the second set of lights illuminate the bottom of the train. The second set is also equipped with a camera in the centre.
